First deployment with ZON Multimedia due in June this year

30 April 2010: Hitron Technologies will be showcasing its Gigabit Ethernet Fibre Router at ANGA Cable, which has been designed to enable operators to take full advantage of their fibre rollouts.

The GVE-39320 enables telcos, ISPs and cable operators with fibre to deploy high speed internet access reliably, up to 1 Gigabit, without any issues.  By investing in the router’s processing capabilities and by incorporating network accelerators, this high-end router can consistently deliver broadband speeds of up to 958Mbps.  This consistency has been lacking in current routers on the market, up until now.

With this reliability inherent in the speed of the network, operators will finally be able to make best use of their fibre network investment, offering customers the opportunity to go further with their broadband usage than ever before. Multiple live streaming of video, for instance, will now be possible, together with any mix of VOD, phone, internet or live TV capability the operator wants to provide.

The GVE-39320 also comes with an embedded UPnP/DLNA server which, when combined with support for external disks, allows central storage and easy in-home distribution of media content.

The GVE-39320 is due to be rolled out by leading European operator ZON Multimedia in June this year.
